Event Title

Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon

Event Description

Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon

Join us for conversation, and a communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to art and feminism. In addition to editing, we’ll be encouraging our community to discuss topics such as the gender gap on Wikipedia, information activism and social justice, intersectional feminism, and the importance of choosing and citing sources in our work. People of all gender identities and expressions welcomed and encouraged to attend. Bring your laptop, if you have one, and feel free to drop in or stay for the entire time.

The Library will provide:

• Tutorials for beginner Wikipedians,
• Suggestions for entries that need editing,
• Reliable research materials,
• And refreshments!
