Gulliver’s Travels at 300: Voyages into Strange Worlds celebrates the 300th anniversary of Jonathan Swift’s masterpiece Gulliver’s Travels and USF’s own first edition of the novel, published in 1726. Bringing this remarkable volume into conversation with books, images, and objects from across three centuries, the exhibition explores Swift’s strange worlds and the enduring questions his novel raises about politics, science, gender, travel, and what it means to be human. The exhibition invites visitors to rediscover a book that has never stopped surprising its readers. Curated by English majors Joyce Chu and Amira Walker in collaboration with Dr. Omar Miranda of the English Department, the exhibition will be on view through December 4, 2026.
