Spring 2026 Special Collections & University Archives Interns Final Presentations!

Please join us for the final exhibition presentations by our Special Collections & University Archives Spring 2026 interns!

Start at the Gleeson Library Lower Level for, Queer Histories at USF by Isabelle Nagy (she/her)

After getting the opportunity to inventory the USF Pride Collection in Gleeson Library’s University Archives, a rich history of seemingly unexplored queer life on campus began to emerge. Over the course of this semester, Isabelle researched a variety of LGBTQ+ faculty, staff, and student groups, focusing primarily on the periods of the 90s and early 2000s. She attempted to chart the variety of queer communities on campus throughout these eras by utilizing the Archives’ USF Pride Collection and Gleeson’s Digital Collections. Isabelle spoke with over ten individuals, ranging from former students to founding members of faculty and staff committees, who shared their personal histories of joy and struggle. These conversations were the most impactful part of her research, and they have formed the narratives present in this project.

Then, follow us up to the Donohue Rare Book Room Foyer on the 3rd floor of Gleeson for, Bird in Hand Press Works by Anthea Kaplan

This spring, Anthea interned in the Donohue Rare Book Room at the Gleeson Library, archiving and exploring the works of the Bird in Hand Press. A San Francisco based private press, Bird in Hand Press was owned and operated by husband and wife team, Bruce and Carol Bradley.
